It is advisable to return books since overdue fees will be higher in the library.

In case of failing to receive a reserved book, the charges will rise from 200 to 1500 HUF. Overdue amounts will increase to 50 HUF per day from 17 July 2023. Moreover, Archives, reprography, and bookbinding charges will also rise. Besides the new fees, new services will be included: reprographic and binding services like scanning A1 documents, degree binding, and plastic spiral binding.

The most significant change is the rise of overdue fees. To avoid forgetting the due date for the books on loan, the library will send a reminder about the expiry date of the loan period. Patrons can renew their books online, via e-mail, or by phone. The library will be closed from 17 July 2023 until 18 August; meanwhile, the overdue fees for expired books will remain the same. Those who are renewing or returning their books on loan in this period that expired before the summer opening hours will be able to pay the sum of the overdue charge for 35 HUF/day. However, it is essential to know that for those not returning or renewing their expired books, the overdue fees valid before 17 July will rise to the increased new charges. |
